Polyester
Polyester binding is our everyday entry level finish option. It’s budget-friendly, easy to maintain, and available in hundreds of colors to match your rug or stair runner perfectly.
A simple, cost-effective solution for finishing an unfinished edge. Looking for something more decorative or with a better feel? Look into our other options below.
Polyester Binding
Serging
Machine Serging is a decorative finish that tightly wraps yarn around the edge, creating a sophisticated and refined look. Available in a wide variety of colors, it’s an excellent way to add subtle dimension and durability to the border of your rug or stair runner.

Cotton
A step up from polyester, cotton binding offers a softer feel and a more elegant finish. It has the same width as polyester but provides added texture and a natural, premium look. Choose a color that blends with the dominant tones of your rug, or select a contrasting shade to make the edge pop!

Hand Serging
Hand Serging is where the edge of a rug or runner is finished by hand using a needle and yarn. A labor intensive and more costly process, but the end result gives a certain artisanal look and texture that no machine can come close to replicating.

Wide Cotton
Wide cotton is the perfect way to add that custom “bordered” look to a finished rug or stair runner. Wide cotton comes in over 50 colors and shows approximately 1.5 inches on the edge. Go with a blue tone for a classic New England look, black for a nice contrast, or a matching color that blends with the rug.

Double-Wide Cotton
An even wider cotton border. This stunning finish shows up to 3 inches on the edge. As an added bonus, the binding is sewn on with a “blind-stitch” machine - meaning zero stitches are visible on the face!

Nailheads
Nailheads are the perfect accessory to distinguish your stair runner from the rest. The decorative heads are evenly nailed through the center of wide binding, and come in several finishes; polished brass, antique brass, pewter and black.

Wide Two-Tone
This finish boasts 2 colors expertly stitched on top of each other to create a one of a kind look. Tie-in different colors from your surrounding décor, or create an accented edge with some brighter colors. The options are endless.

Leather
Want your rug or stair runner to stand out from the crowd? Faux leather binding delivers a truly unique, eye-catching finish. Choose from more than a dozen rich colors and customize the width—showing up to 3 inches of material along the perimeter.
